All of 2021 college baseball is season is officially kicked off!  Check out below of just SOME of the highlights from this past weekend’s action.

ETSU

Ashton King had a strong weekend going 4-10 on the weekend 2 doubles and 2 HR

Ethan Cady got off to a strong start in 2021 going 4-10 with a double and triple in a weekend series win for the Bucs.

Bryce Hodge the Junior started his career 4-11 with an RBI for the Bucs after a stellar career at Walters State

Landon Smiddy went 3 inning of scoreless relief 3 strikeouts and got the win in game 2 for the Bucs over Northern Kentucky.

Chaz Bertolani went .500 on the weekend with a double and 2 RBI in a sweep for the Bisons
Maddux Houghton added 2 hits, 2 runs, and 3 RBI in the doubleheader sweep on Monday in Hoover, AL.
Ty Jones was big in game 2 for the Bisons going 2-4 with a double and RBI in a win.
Vanderbilt
Parker Noland was 3-7 in the double header with a double and RBI for Vanderbilt in a double header sweep.
Tennessee
Camden Sewell went 3 innings and gave up just 1 run and added a strike out in a win for the Volunteers against Georgia Southern.
St. Mary’s
Ky Bush went 5 innings of scoreless baseball in his start and gave up just 3 hits and added 5ks in a win over Utah Valley
South Alabama
Santi Montiel got off to a strong start going 2-6 on the weekend with 6 BB and 1 HBP for the Jaguars against SEMO.

Brayden Hurdsman went 2.1 inning in relief and got the save for the Utes in a win over Cal State Fullerton
Auburn
Blake Burkhalter– threw a scoreless inning of relief for the Tigers in a sweep over Presbyterian
Tennessee Tech
Congrats to our guy Hayden Gilliland on his first collegiate hit with his double in a win for the Golden Eagles.
TCU
Hunter Wolfe added 2 hits including a double and RBI for the Horned Frogs
Nevada
Landon Wallace added his first collegiate hit for the Wolfpack and also added 2 runs scored.
Georgia
Hank Bearden went 2.1 innings of scoreless relief in his collegiate debut. Allowed just 1 hit and added a K
Dallas Baptist
Andres Sosa was 4-8 on the weekend with a home run and 5 RBI in a weekend sweep
Jacksonville State
Jake Peppers was lights out as usual going 2.1 inning of scoreless relief with 4ks in his collegiate debut
West Virginia
Carlson Reed made his collegiate debut going 0.2 innings of relief and not allowing a run
New Mexico
Terrell Hudson went 2 innings of relief and gave up just 1 hit and 0 runs while adding 3ks
Elon
Tyler Cranston started off the year going 3-8 with an RBI for Elon this past weekend against UNC Greensboro

Miguel Uceshe had a huge weekend going 6-11 with an RBI for the Patriots
Cleveland State
Ryan McCarthy went 2-6 on the weekend with a HR, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored against Motlow on the weekend.
Lance Dockery went 2-6 with a double and RBI on the weekend for the Cougars
Brandon Lejeune was 3-3 with 3 RBI against Motlow this past weekend.

Hunter Caywood went a inning of scoreless relief with 2 Ks in a win over Maryville.
Carson Newman
Jake Wright went 3.1 innings on the week and gave up just 1 run while adding 5ks
Tyler Shaver was lights out going 5.1 innings on the week with no runs allowed and adding 8ks

Alex Gonzalez was 4-8 on the weekend with 2 doubles and 4 RBI in a weekend sweep for Covenant.
Lee University
Justen Freeman was 3-5 on the weekend with 2 runs scored for the Flames
Dylan Standifer added 4 hits on the week for the Flames including a double
Riley Black continues to swing it as he is now hitting .346 with 7 RBI
West Alabama
Gavin Rogers stayed hot at the plate going 3-5 with a double and HR this past weekend in a sweep over Mississippi College.

Brandon Trammell was 4-10 in their opening weekend with a HR and 6 RBI

Brenton Beck has been lights out so far going 1-0 with 5 scoreless innings pitched and adding 6ks.
