eXposure Alumni Weekend Preview- March 19th

As we embark on another weekend for all of eXposure alums, we continue to track the progress and production of so many greats who have come through the organization.  Make sure you check out @eXposurebb throughout the weekend for updates and as always, we will be back Monday with our alumni report, followed by The Rundown with eXposure Baseball next week.

Ethan Cady at ETSU looks to continue his torrid start where he is hitting .386 on the season with 7 doubles, 1 triple, 8 HR, and 25 RBI.  Cady and the Buccaneers will welcome VMI to town as they begin conference play this weekend in Johnson City.

Vanderbilt will be hosting South Carolina this weekend in Nashville which means another big weekend on tap for Parker Noland hitting in the middle of the Commodores lineup.  Noland is currently hitting .345 on the season with a HR and 13 RBI.  Vanderbilt is coming off of a series win against Oklahoma State and looks to continue that trend.

John Rhodes and the Kentucky Wildcats will also be opening SEC play this weekend when they host Missouri.  Rhodes who is 15 for 51 on the season with 4 HR already credited to his name looks to get Kentucky started on the right foot in conference play.  The Wildcats are 11-3 on the season.

Carson Newman will be hitting the field this weekend coming off a layover from COVID protocols as they host Queens College from Charlotte, North Carolina.  The Eagles are 11-4 on the season and have received major contributions from former eXposure players Tyler Shaver, Jake Wright, Harrison Travis, Gunnar Ricketts, and Micah Genter.  Carson Newman is 6-2 on the season is conference play heading into the weekend.

Blake Burhalter at Auburn University will be beginning conference play at Ole Miss this weekend and Burkhalter is eyeing to continue his hot start to the season.  Burkhalter has a 1.13 ERA in 6 appearances this year and his fastball has been sitting in mid 90’s.

Andre Tarver at Chipola has been heating up in a big way as he is 5-10 in his last 3 games to go along with a HR in last night’s game.  Chipola will be going up against Pensacola State this weekend and Tarver who is one of the top JUCO players in the country is just now heating up so look for him to continue to trend in a big way.

Tennessee Tech squares off against Eastern Illinois this weekend and Hayden Gilliland continues to turn in a impressive Freshman campaign as he gets more opportunities.  Gilliland has 3 extra base hits on the season in which they have been shutdown for multiple weeks from COVID protocols.  We look for Gilliland to continue contributing to the Eagles early on in his career.

Walters State who is ranked in the top 5 nationally in JUCO baseball will take on Cleveland State this weekend which means reigning National Player of then.  Week, Jerry Hammons, will be taking the field once again.  Hammons is currently hitting .429 with 12 HR and 34 RBI in 84 at bats.  Matthew Ellis is also having a strong season where he is hitting .370 with 5 doubles and 5 HR for the Senators.

West Alabama heads to West Georgia this weekend for a conference tilt.  Gavin Rogers who is off to a hot start is hitting .370 currently with 3 HR and 16 RBI as he anchors the middle of the order for the Tigers.

As always there are entirely too many topics and players to cover each week and these are just a very FEW of the stories heading into the weekend.  Reminder for all information you can follow us @eXposurebb throughout the weekend and we will be back with the Alumni Report on Monday.
